Arizona Appraisal advisors has proudly served our community with quality appraisal services since 2014.
Our founder, Jonathan Putnam, comes from a family of real estate professionals. Since the early 1980s, the Putnam family has owned and operated residential appraisal, real estate sales, and auctioneer firms. It was a natural path for Jon to enter into real estate.
In 1996, Jon graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Economics. Afterward, he began training as an appraiser in the family’s residential appraisal business. In the next year, Jon relocated to Chicago and began work on an appraisal staff. Over the next several years, Jon worked closely with several experienced appraisers, learning all aspects of the home appraisal business. During this time, Jon advanced his appraisal education through multiple courses at the Appraisal Institute. In addition, he completed an MBA at DePaul University in 2003. Since the MBA program at DePaul emphasized real estate finance and entrepreneurship, it provided a unique educational opportunity for Jon. Because of this education and experience, Jon ventured out and formed Putnam and Associates, Inc. (the lender-appraisal affiliate of Arizona Appraisal Advisors) in 2004, a residential real estate appraisal firm focusing on urban property, condominiums, and 2-4 family homes.
After building a successful appraisal business in Chicago, the company expanded operations to the Phoenix metro area in 2015. At this time, Arizona Appraisal Advisors was born. While the previous company focused on lender and other mortgage finance work, this company provides appraisals for private use in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the surrounding metro area.
